Delver

Delver is a first person action roguelike for Windows, Mac, Linux, and Android devices. The game features retro style graphics and gameplay.
Delve deep into the depths of a randomly generated dungeon with one goal in mind, get that ancient Yithidian Orb . Of course, this won't be easy, there will be plenty of monsters in the way. Adventure through the dangerous dungeon, picking up loot along the way preparing for the battle against the dreaded lich. Will your adventure be a success, stories told about it for generations? Or will you be mocked and forgotten because of your failure? Your fate... awaits...

For those like me who enjoy retro style pixel art graphics, exploration of randomly generated dungeons and slowly gathering power ups, this game is a blast!
This longplay shows a full playthrough starting with a new game. Then I continue an existing savegame showing the larger inventory space (you can buy slots from a merchant, which you keep in future playthroughs), different random rooms and increased difficuly. I die on purpose during the second playthrough to cut it short and to show what happens when you do.

My technique to get rid of the liche:
- Potion of invisibility (if available) to avoid attracting minions
- Potion of haste (if available) to speed through the boss room while taking as little damage as possible
- Long term regeneration (Cola potion, Ale, food)
- Magic protection spell or potion
- Iron skin potion or spell, maybe? Dunno, I tend to ignore them completely but hey! that's your inventory space!
- Reach the back wall of the room as fast as possible ignoring minions. In case you don't have invisibility, use missile wand to stun skeleton mages and kill skulls. Keep moving!
- Stun the liche with a paralyze wand (if available), kill it with a fire wand. Watch out for splash damage.
- Wait for the back wall to open using a missile wand to get rid of closest minions, especially fast moving ones like flying skulls
- Dash to the orb and GTFO!

Useful scrolls not seen in the longplay:
- Discern reality: unveil the whole map of current floor
- Identify: discover the use of all potions currently in your inventory (every potion effect randomly changes in each playthrough)
- Enchant weapon: hold weapon to enchant, open inventory, click spell to add random enchant to weapon.
